School Council Corner | Family Ambassador Program | |
You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. This includes getting involved with the school council. The school council provides advice on school matters and helps to strengthen the important relationship between schools, families and their communities. The council includes family members, school staff and community members. A final reminder that our first School Council meeting of the year will take place on Monday, October 6 at 6:30pm in the library. We hope to see you there! If you have not yet submitted a nomination form, please reach out to Mrs. Dillon at tammy.dillon@yrdsb.ca | Check out our Family Ambassador Program brochures! These will be updated early this fall with new and returning volunteers.Consider joining as an ambassador to support new families to Bond Lake especially if your home language is not listed. This will allow for the school community to reach more families. Please email tammy.dillon@yrdsb.ca to express your interest.

Fresh from the Farm - Reminder! This year, BLPS will once again be participating in a Fresh from the Farm fundraiser. Fresh from the Farm is a unique fundraising partnership between the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and our school community. By purchasing fresh apple and vegetable bundles, you can enjoy healthy, local produce for your family while also supporting Ontario farmers and helping us raise money for the school. This year, families can even choose to purchase an apple or vegetable bundle to be donated to a family in our community.
Our Fresh from the Farm fundraiser will be open to place orders until October 17, 2025. Orders will be delivered to the school in November. When placing your order online, you can connect your order to a student name and teacher name. Please click the link to place your order and feel free to share the link with family and friends! School Year Calendar: It has come to our attention that some families may be referring to the wrong version of the YRDSB School Year calendar. When the Board sent out the Start-Up Package, there was a link to the YRDSB webpage with all of the different calendars. Please ensure you are looking at the Elementary Calendar for 2025-2026 (PDF) and not Secondary or speciality calendars as different programs may have different holidays. We do NOT have a holiday on Friday, October 10.
Bond Lake Staff Spirit Wear: Bond Lake PS Spirit Wear is once again available for families to purchase directly from the vendor. Please click the link to view available items and place your order.
October 2025 - The Centre for Black Student Excellence Newsletter: This newsletter is designed to share timely information with families of Black students in York Region District School Board, including information about school board and community programs and events.
Fall Tenants Rights Workshop Fall 2025: Parents/Guardians are invited to the free Virtual Tenant Rights Workshops for October and November 2025, offered in partnership with Inclusive School and Community Services and the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights. Please see the flyer for more information.
