VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

This year, our BLPS School Council has been planning events that help families to build relationships within our school community. On Thursday, June 11 from 5:30-7:30pm, families will be able to work together to win challenges against other families at our BLPS Family Olympics.

To make the event possible, we are seeking volunteers. Please complete the Google Form to express your interest and a member of the School Council will reach out to share information with you. Thanks in advance!

If you have questions/concerns, please feel free to share them with us

Check out our Family Ambassador Program brochures! These will be updated early this fall with new and returning volunteers.Consider joining as an ambassador to support new families to Bond Lake especially if your home language is not listed. This will allow for the school community to reach more families. Please email tammy.dillon@yrdsb.ca to express your interest.

New Online Hub Supports Students’ Transitions: Students experience transitions throughout their school day and their school years. Supporting these transitions is a shared effort. YRDSB has launched a new Transition Hub with resources to support all students and their families during times of change. It includes tips for all families with specific information and strategies to support students with special education needs.

You will find helpful information, clear steps and strategies to support transitions. You can explore tips and resources by grade level or by different categories such as advocacy, daily transitions and transitioning to a new school. The content can also be translated using the built-in web translation tool.

We invite you to explore the new Transitions Hub for tips to support your child.

JF&CS Family Services Groups and Workshops: Jewish Family and Child Services of Toronto is offering a wide variety of groups and workshops over the spring/summer months. Check out their flyer for more information and registration links.
