You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. This includes getting involved with the School Council. If you have questions/concerns, please feel free to share them with us.
Our next School Council meeting will take place on Monday, April 13. We will be planning events for the school community and welcome your input. Please save the date and plan to join us!

Check out our Family Ambassador Program brochures! These will be updated early this fall with new and returning volunteers.Consider joining as an ambassador to support new families to Bond Lake especially if your home language is not listed. School Assistant Position(s) Available: We are seeking one or more School Assistants for the rest of the school year. The role of the School Assistant is to provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day. This position includes lunch period supervision or as needed by the school and yard duty supervision. Successful candidates will be required to complete online (virtual) health and safety training prior to start date (as well as school in-service training).
Our School Assistants work 60 minutes per day between the times of 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 a.m. To be considered for this opportunity, please email Tammy Dillon (Principal) at tammy.dillon@yrdsb.ca to express your interest and share your resume.
Parenting Book Study: The Bond Lake PS School Council is excited to invite parents and guardians to participate in our upcoming Parenting Book Study. This is a great opportunity to learn together, support one another, and ultimately build a stronger connection with our kids.
We have selected three excellent books, and we’d like all participants to vote on which one we will study together. An in-person meeting will take place on Thursday, March 26 from 5:00-6:00pm in the library during which we will talk about what a Book Study is, how it will work, and decide together which book the group would like to read.
Please see the letter for all the details. All parents/guardians interested in our Book Study are welcome to join us. To help us prepare the library for our first meeting, please RSVP using the Google Form linked in the letter. We look forward to learning together with you!
Coffee, Conversation & Community: We have updated a few of our Coffee, Conversation & Community event dates over the next few months. Please save the date and plan to join us! All events will take place in-person in the Bond Lake P.S. library.

Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week: The YRDSB Central Mental Health Team will be hosting a virtual mental health and wellness presentation for families and caregivers on Wednesday May 6, 2026 (6:00 pm to 7:00 pm). Based on information shared with us from the YRDSB Welcome center, and the 6 language capacity of Microsoft Teams we will be providing language translation in Farsi-Persian, Mandarin (simple Chinese written), Cantonese (traditional Chinese written), Turkish, Ukrainian, Korean.
