You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. This includes getting involved with the School Council. We will meet next on Monday, February 2. Our meetings are virtual and all are welcome!

Check out our Family Ambassador Program brochures! These will be updated early this fall with new and returning volunteers.Consider joining as an ambassador to support new families to Bond Lake especially if your home language is not listed. This will allow for the school community to reach more families. Please email tammy.dillon@yrdsb.ca to express your interest.

Coffee, Conversation & Community

They say being a parent is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed. It’s hard work and to do it well, you need the support of others. Please save the date and join us and other Bond Lake PS parents/guardians for an informal coffee chat in January or February. Come to one session or all three sessions. We hope to see you there!

  • Thurs. Jan. 22 from 6:00 - 7:00pm (Library)
  • Thurs. Jan. 29 from 7:00 - 8:00pm (Virtual)
  • Wed. Feb. 4 from 8:15 - 9:15am (Library)

Late Buses: With the wintery weather, we have experienced late buses on several days. Parents/guardians are reminded that they can check for late bus reports by visiting the Student Transportation Services website https://net.schoolbuscity.com/ and clicking on the tab ‘Today’s Late Buses’. This late bus report is regularly updated, provides the route numbers impacted and gives a timeline for arrival.

Inclement Weather Bus Cancellations: When Inclement Weather is declared, school vehicle cancellations may affect all or part of the region. If a Service Area is cancelled:

  • All bus and taxi routes serving schools in that service area will not operate
  • All bus stops in that service area will not be served - even if a student attends a school in the other service area.
  • Buses remain cancelled for both AM and PM routes
