New School Website: We are pleased to let you know that our school website will be updated in the coming weeks. The new school website is designed to be more modern, accessible, translatable, mobile friendly and easy to use. It will give you access to important school and school board information. We will let you know when our new website is live and look forward to using it to share information with you.
Jump Rope for Heart: Today was our kick-off assembly for our BLPS Jump Rope for Heart Event taking place on Friday, May 16. We were fortunate to have an amazing team of student leaders who worked together with our staff team to help everyone learn more about this important fundraiser that will encourage our students to get active, build healthy habits and give back. We are keen to raise funds for Heart & Stroke for several great reasons:
- Money raised by our school helps Heart & Stroke drive important heart and brain research that will save lives, prevent heart disease and stroke and support families living with these conditions.
- Jump is an inclusive event for all abilities to get kids moving and help them discover new and exciting ways to get active.
- Students learn the EASY Healthy Habits that they can use to keep their hearts and brains healthy and
- help reduce their risk of developing heart disease and stroke later in life.
- Jump gives back! Students can earn thank you gift cards from Indigo, Amazon or Walmart based on their fundraising level as a heartfelt thank you for their hard work.
For all the details and links to donate, please see the flyer.
Parent/Guardian Class Placement Input: As a school team, we highly value input from parents/guardians as we begin to consider class placements for the 2025-2026 school year.
Parent input that is received via the Class Placement Input Form by Friday, May 4th, 2025 will be considered and shared during placement meetings in May/June. This form is only for parents/guardians of students attending Bond Lake PS. Please complete a separate form for each child.
A great deal of time and consideration goes into placing students in the most positive learning environment possible, given each student’s skills, knowledge, attitude and work habits. Our class placement teams include classroom teachers, special education and MLL (multiple language learner) teachers, DECEs, EAs and the Principal/Vice-Principal.
Classes at each grade level are formed using a variety of important criteria including:
Class size consistent with Board and Ministry;
Academic strengths and needs balanced throughout all classes in a grade;
Placement of English Language Learners and special education students;
Gender balance in each class; and
Promoting positive social relationships while minimizing unproductive associations.
Please note:
Requests for specific teachers cannot be accommodated.
There will be combined grades in our school organization.
Final decisions about class placement are the responsibility of the school.
Thank you for partnering with us in this very important task.
Kid’s Kitchen - May: The Kid’s Kitchen specials for May are now available. Check out the flyer for all the details.

Safe School Zone and Active School Travel: Thank you to all of our families for continuing to support Safe School Zone and Active Travel at Bond Lake. With the warmer weather arriving soon, we are reminding families to follow the Bond Lake PS Safe School Zone Guidelines. We have seen this week a sudden increase in vehicles driving through the bus loop, blocking entrances/exits to the bus loop, cars entering the kiss and ride at unsafe speeds, cars blocking the entrance and exit of the bus loop, children walking through the parking lot unaccompanied. Convenience should never be more important than ensuring the safety of our students, staff and families. We need your help each day! Please review all of the messages and do your part. We also are asking students that ride a bike to school, please walk their bikes on the sidewalks. Students are not permitted to ride through the parking lot on their bikes. Please review the Ontario Bicycle Safety Information.
Public Health Reminders: With the Spring weather soon to arrive, please see the following regarding Lyme Disease and West Nile Virus. Please see the following for Lyme Disease and West Nile Virus for more information
