School Council Corner | Family Ambassador Program | |
You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. This includes getting involved with the School Council. If you have questions/concerns, please feel free to share them with us.
Our next School Council meeting will take place on Monday, May 4. We will be planning events for the school community and welcome your input. Please save the date and plan to join us!
We are looking forward to our Hike & Play event on Thursday, May 14. Please check out the details and flyer and register to join us! |
Check out our Family Ambassador Program brochures! These will be updated early this fall with new and returning volunteers.Consider joining as an ambassador to support new families to Bond Lake especially if your home language is not listed. This will allow for the school community to reach more families. Please email tammy.dillon@yrdsb.ca to express your interest.

Parent/Guardian Class Placement Input - Reminder!: As a school team, we highly value input from parents/guardians as we begin to consider class placements for the 2026-2027 school year.
Parent input that is received via the Class Placement Input Form by Friday, May 1, 2026 will be considered and shared during placement meetings in May/June. This form is only for parents/guardians of students attending Bond Lake PS. Please complete a separate form for each child.
A great deal of time and consideration goes into placing students in the most positive learning environment possible, given each student’s skills, knowledge, attitude and work habits. Our class placement teams include classroom teachers, special education and MLL (multiple language learner) teachers, DECEs, EAs and the Principal/Vice-Principal.
Classes at each grade level are formed using a variety of important criteria including:
● Class size consistent with Board and Ministry;
● Academic strengths and needs balanced throughout all classes in a grade;
● Placement of English Language Learners and special education students;
● Gender balance in each class; and
● Promoting positive social relationships while minimizing unproductive associations.
Please note:
● Requests for specific teachers cannot be accommodated.
● There will be combined grades in our school organization.
● Final decisions about class placement are the responsibility of the school.
Thank you for partnering with us in this very important task.
Bond Lake P.S. Talent Show: We are excited to announce that the 2025-2026 Bond Lake Talent Show is officially around the corner! This event is designed to be a joyful celebration of our students' individual passions. We are looking for singers, musicians, dancers, actors, jugglers, magicians, comedians, and other unique talents! This showcase is dedicated to students who are personally excited to take the stage, so we ask that participation be entirely student-driven rather than family-prompted.
While we wish we could include every act in our show, please be aware that not everyone who auditions can be selected for the final showcase due to time constraints. We appreciate every student's effort and courage, and those not selected this year are warmly encouraged to audition again next year.
Please remind your children to listen carefully to the daily morning announcements for specific audition times, which will be scheduled for early May. Due to our tight production schedule, we will be unable to accommodate missed auditions or provide make-up sessions. We look forward to seeing our students' authentic talents shine on stage!
