Parent/Guardian Class Placement Input: As a school team, we highly value input from parents/guardians as we begin to consider class placements for the 2026-2027 school year.

Parent input that is received via the Class Placement Input Form by Friday, May 1, 2026 will be considered and shared during placement meetings in May/June.  This form is only for parents/guardians of students attending Bond Lake PS. Please complete a separate form for each child.

A great deal of time and consideration goes into placing students in the most positive learning environment possible, given each student’s skills, knowledge, attitude and work habits.  Our class placement teams include classroom teachers, special education and MLL (multiple language learner) teachers, DECEs, EAs and the Principal/Vice-Principal.

Classes at each grade level are formed using a variety of important criteria including:

●    Class size consistent with Board and Ministry;

●    Academic strengths and needs balanced throughout all classes in a grade;

●    Placement of English Language Learners and special education students;

●    Gender balance in each class; and

●    Promoting positive social relationships while minimizing unproductive associations.

Please note:

●    Requests for specific teachers cannot be accommodated.

●    There will be combined grades in our school organization.

●    Final decisions about class placement are the responsibility of the school.

Thank you for partnering with us in this very important task.

Bond Lake PS Spring Flower ⚘ Fundraiser: Our Bond Lake PS School Council is pleased to offer a Spring Flower Fundraiser just in time for Mother’s Day! Help us to raise money toward the goals outline in our School Fundraising Plan and purchase some beautiful spring flowers for your home.

Please take a look at the flyer for all of the details and place your order for tulips or roses between March 30 - April 21. All orders will be completed using School Cash Online!

A Message From Our Grade 6 Classes:

Hello Parents and Guardians of Bond Lake Public School,

The Grade 6 classes are working together to have a cereal drive for the Newmarket Food Pantry. We hope you can help us support those in need for the Newmarket community! The Newmarket Food Pantry has been serving its community for 40 years, and this year we are very proud to have been chosen to help the families facing food insecurities.

The Newmarket Food Pantry receives over 25,000 visits a year, and we were lucky enough to be a part of many people's daily meals. Some may not have the opportunity to eat all the time, or those who don't have time to make food, and that's why we are doing this initiative for those in need of breakfast daily.

This year, the Newmarket food pantry is collaborating with several elementary schools to collect as many boxes of cereals as we can! At the end of the drive on April 24th we will having a “Cereal Box Domino Challenge” which is a fun, creative activity, where we line up cereal boxes and watch them topple over! Our goal is to hopefully reach 250 cereal boxes! However, to reach this goal, we need your help! We are asking if every family could donate at least one cereal box to help contribute to our ongoing mission.  Thank you for your support and assistance.

Sincerely,

Grade 6 Students
